List Diploma Exam Marks

List Diploma Exam Marks

The search allows a number of pieces of information to be selected to generate a filtered overview of relevant Diploma Exam Marks.

Search Fields

The page uses the PASIprep List Items Template which includes the context bar.

The following selection criteria fields are presented on the context bar in the order of appearance (* denotes mandatory criteria):

Exam School Year* School Year in which the Diploma Exam was held.Select Control for School Year, contains schools years from the year prior to the earliest current school year through to the last accepted school year.
Exam Period The Exam Period for the Exam Mark records the user is searching for.Lists all Exam Periods (i.e. January, June, etc.)

The Select control has a list of Exam Periods code values (short descriptions) that are not expired for the selected Exam School Year, sorted by the reverse order they occur in the School Year (i.e. August, July, June…September). A blank option is also available as the first option – this is the option selected by default.
Include Deleted Exam MarksIndicates if the deleted exam marks should be display returned by the search. When the checkbox is selected deleted records will appear in the data grid. By default, this is not selected.Check box

Search Results

When user hits [Search] it will cause PASIprep to call, retrieve and list the potential Diploma Exam Mark matches. Client side validations are performed and all mandatory search criteria is entered. If the client side validations have passed, then the Diploma Exam Mark records that match the entered criteria are displayed in the grid section.

Based on the target Organization selected in the Search Criteria and what marks user would like to see (based on the “Show” option selected), the list of Diploma Exam Marks that would be considered for the search result is as follows:

  • If user wants to show • Marks for students associated to the selected school/writing centre(s):
  • If user wants to show • Marks for students registered in an exam sitting of the selected school/writing centre(s):
    • All Diploma Exam Mark records where the selected Authority/School is the owner will be considered
  • The list of Diploma Exam Marks that is taken into consideration is then further refined/reduced by the other search criteria entered by the user:
  • Exam School Year of the parent Diploma Exam Mark record
  • Exam Period (if selected) of the parent Diploma Exam Mark record
  • Include deleted marks (Y/N)

The search results are loaded to the data grid.

Note that even if a Diploma Exam Mark record matches the above search criteria, the user must satisfies the requirements to access the record as documented in Diploma Exam Marks Data Access Rules to see the record in the search results. Also, even if the user has access to the record, there may be field-specific rules that prevents them from seeing the value on the record (see Diploma Exam Marks Data Access Rules for more information).

Data Grid

The grid is follows the PASIprep Business Object Grid guidelines.

  • The sort order of the grid is on Student Name then Course Code
  • Multi-select is enabled on the grid.

- {View Icon}If the record is considered a Diploma Exam Registration, this opens the View Diploma Exam Registration page; otherwise it opens the View Diploma Exam Mark page.
- {Edit Icon}This column is visible only if user has the PASIprep permissions needed to be able to Diploma Exam Marks Data Access Rules records. The Edit icon itself is only displayed if the record is considered a Diploma Exam Registration and the user meets the Diploma Exam Marks Data Access Rules required to edit the record.
- ASN*ASN on the parent Diploma Exam Mark record. Displayed as per the PASIprep Business Object Grid guideline.
- Student Name*Preferred name tied to the ASN.
Displayed as per the PASIprep Business Object Grid guideline.
- Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Suffix columnsPreferred name tied to the ASN on the record.

Exam Scheduled Date and TimeThe date of all the exam components' Time, separated with a comma, in chronological order. (eg. 2016-06-222, 2016-06-25)
Writing Centre / Location Machine Scored If a “MS” (Machine Scored) component exists for the Exam on the Diploma Exam Mark record, display the Diploma Exam Sitting for the corresponding Diploma Exam Mark Component. Otherwise the value of this field will be displayed 'N/A“.

If this field has a value it will link to the View Diploma Exam Sitting page.
Writing Centre / Location Written ResponseIf a “WR” (Written Response) component exists for the Exam on the Diploma Exam Mark record, display the Exam Writing Centre on the Diploma Exam Sitting for the corresponding Diploma Exam Mark Component. Otherwise the value of this field will be displayed 'N/A”.

If this field has a value it will link to the View Diploma Exam Sitting page.

Note: Even though this is not a 'true' list of values, Set filtering on this column will be used.
Writing Centre / Location Other If there is at least one Diploma Exam Component for the Diploma Exam Mark record that is not “MS” or “WR”, display the Exam Writing Centre on the Diploma Exam Sitting for the corresponding Diploma Exam Mark Component. Otherwise the value of this field will be displayed 'N/A“.

If this field has a value it will link to the View Diploma Exam Sitting page.
Writing Centre / Location Special Sitting? If at least one of the Diploma Exam Mark Component is tied to a Diploma Exam Sitting where 'IsSpecial=“Y”', display “Yes”, otherwise display “No”.
Mark Status* Short Description of the Exam Mark Status
Mark Value* Mark Value displayed in Mark Format

If the Diploma Exam Mark's Exam Mark Status is “Registered”, this links to the Audit History of the View Diploma Exam Registration page for the record; otherwise it this links to the Audit History of the View Diploma Exam Mark page for the record.

Grid Action Menu Item - [Add]

Allows user to add a new diploma exam registration.

This button will not be visible if the user does not have the Diploma Exam Marks Data Access Rules.

Processing for [Add]

Takes user to the Add Diploma Exam Registration screen.

Grid Action Menu Item - [Delete]

Allows user to delete a diploma exam mark record. The user must select a record in the grid first to use this function.

This button will only be visible if the user has the required PASIprep permissions to Diploma Exam Marks Data Access Rules.

Processing for [Delete]

Grid Action Menu Item - [Undelete]

Allows user to undelete a diploma exam mark. The user must select a record in the grid first to use this function.

This button will not be visible if the user does not have the PASIprep permissions required to update a Diploma Exam Registration record.
